Hello,

I have activated the Wget Reboot with a 10s Wget timeout, 5min Intervall, 3x Retry count and a Host to ping to www.google.de

Somehow my RUT240 still loses every 24h connetcion to the Internet and goes offline (becasue of the IP Change of the SIM providor).
Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Should not the RUT reboot, when it loses the connection?

Thank you very much!

Hello,

Thanks for contacting TELTONIKA | Crowd-support forum.

Kindly be informed that Wget Reboot uses HTTP request to see if Web Interface of a remote endpoint is reachable. If there’s no answer from the endpoint during 3 retries, then the router will reboot itself automatically to try to initiate the connection to see if that would help to resolve the issue. The router will continue rebooted until it gets HTTP reply from the endpoint.

More information can be found here:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_Auto_Reboot#Wget_Reboot

In order to check the reason behind the reboot, enter to router’s WebUI, go to Status> Event Log > System Event and select Reboot.

If the Wget Reboot is behind the reboot of the router, then you would see under the field of event Request from ping reboot.

Should you need any additional information please let us know.

Best regards.
