I had similar issues. Updating the firmware solved the issue.

You do say turn off completely though, do you mean the until powers off? No lights? Or do you mean your connectivity drips out every 24hr?

Yes the latest firmware I had on it but had problems with Vpn.

Therefore, I have a version back updated with which the VPN problem was solved.
