Good afternoon,

We have commissioned a device RUT240_3927

On the local LAN, the DHCP does not work correctly, after a reboot the DHCP allocates the addresses, then if we restart there is no more DHCP

The firmware was updated with the version RUT2XX_R_00.01.14.3_WEBUI and after with the same defect we put the version RUT2_R_00.07.01_WEBUI

If you don't have a solution, I have to return the device because without DHCP we cannot use this device

Do you have a solution to make DHCP work?

Serial number 1114092253

Thank you for your answers

Hello Yga,

Thank you for your query.

To begin with, currently the most stable release for RUT240 is RUT2XX_R_00.01.14.4 . (Our 7.1FW has been currently removed due to a severe bug with IpSec VPN). Could you please install this firmware on your device and check when ever the issue reoccurs.

In addition, Could you please elaborate on the challenges you are currently experiencing with DHCP. As I have tested the main DHCP working principle on my RUT240 LAN interface, it did assign ip addresses to a couple of PC's and a reboot/restart did not have any effect on the DHCP. (After reboot the ip addresses were assigned as soon as the router itself booted).

Are you using DHCP relay by any chance?

Could you please also download the troubleshoot file from your router when the issue occurs and forward it to me via private message. To download the troubleshoot file you would have to navigate to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot -> Download Troubleshoot. (Make sure that the troubleshoot is being download after issue reoccurs and on the 00.01.14.4 FW)
