Hello,

I configured the WAN port as LAN and it works, but I want to use WOL on the WAN port and can't do that, neither broadcast magic nor fixed MAC magic packets work. The same device on other ports may wake up. Is it possible to use wake on LAN on WAN port?

Best regards,

Maciej

Hello,

Could you please elaborate in a little bit more detail what would be the exact use case for this/what would you like to accomplish? WAN port is usually not connected to any workstation - it gets connected to your internet service provider equipment in order to obtain an IP address and have internet connectivity.

You may choose to specifically configure WAN port as a LAN port (see: Setting up WAN as LAN for devices running RUTOS firmware). Please note that after configuring this you will not be able to get internet connectivity via Ethernet ports!

Best regards,

Tomas.
