Port forwarding source zone?

Hello people,

I have a question about the source zone property that's shown when I open a port. I don't know if I made my port forwarding correct, because I am using a sim card and I connected a device to my rut240 via ethernet and the default setting for source zone is wan(PPP). Could someone tell to me if this is right or not?

Hi, 

If you're using mobile WAN IP to access services on your LAN device via port forwarding then your config is correct. 

If you're experiencing any issues with port forwarding then I'd be great if you could provide a screenshot of your port forwarding rule. Also make sure that your operator provides your SIM with a public IP address.
