Question

I have setup a PPTP VPN with PureVPN with a dedicated IP and port forwarding. When I Google what is my IP I get the dedicated IP show and port forwarding works. When I try to load a web page, it times out. I can ping 8.8.8.8, I have set 8.8.8.8 on wan and lan interfaces. I have factory reset the Rut240 several times and went through the setup wizard and then added the PPTP connection same issue every time.

Area you able to ping PPTP client?

Have you setup pptp server as a default gateway? make sure you do that in order to route your traffic to remote networks.

Create a Forwarding zone and forward your traffic to both lan and wan ppp in the pptp server configuration.

Check farwall rules and make sure that port 80 is not blocked
