Hi, RUTX09, last firmware, ISP is TMobile Czech Rep.. I have one issue - interface with SIM card with 4G has random disconnect and reconnect to ISP. Uptime on interface is reset and counting from 0 again and internet access is interrupt. I spoke with ISP and they said that client was disconnect and connect again, so the issue is on Teltonika.

Iam using passthrought mode. I tried to use bridge but still same.

Any other idea?

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

Here is a few steps that should help you find what's causing this problem:

  1. If you haven't tried already, try to take out SIM card from your RUTX09 and insert it in any other device (like your phone) and check if you get the same connection problems as you get with the router.
  2. Try to change passthrough mode to NAT, here is the link where you can see differences between NAT, Bridge and passthrough modes and how to change them: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX09_WAN#Mobile
  3. After you have changed Mobile mode to NAT, send me your RUTX09 signal parameters, here is the link where you can find information on how to find your signal parameters: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Mobile_Signal_Strength_Recommendations#How_do_I_check_the_signal_quality_on_a_RUT_device.3F

Let me know if any of this information have helped you.

Kind regards,

Edvinas

Hi Edvinas,

1) Iam sorry, not possible. Maybe later I can try another 4G modem.

2) I also tried before, same issue.

3) Signal is stable and "strong".https://community.teltonika-networks.com/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=9446438359682634775

Hello,

From the screen shot you have provided I can see that your RSRP and SINR signals both are really poor, almost at the disconnect state. It probably reaches disconnect state and that's why you lose your internet connection.

Here you can see explanation and recommendations for each measurement: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Mobile_Signal_Strength_Recommendations#4G_.28LTE.29

Firstly if you haven't already attach both mobile antenas. If you already have them attached, check them if they are screwed properly.

If the first step didn't help try to place your RUTX09 in the other location (if you have possibility, place it closer to the window), and check your signal strength again.

Also if that doesn't help, you can try connecting 3rd party antenna. Here is wiki article about the requirements for 3rd party antennas: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Third-party_Antennas

One more thing to note, it looks like you are using LTE only service mode. You can also try changing you service mode to auto. You can do it by going to your routers WebUi and then Network > Mobile > General > Service mode.

Kind regards,

Edvinas

Thank you for the signal information. I changed the antenna position and there is a change for the better.

But I don't understand the logs. Can you please check it?https://community.teltonika-networks.com/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=12296484314183941314

At 18:29 and 18:37, twice disconnected. For now, more than 12h OK.

And LTE only service mode is in auto mode.

I have static IPv4, so not possible disconnect due to DHCP from ISP.
Also Iam using 3rd party directional antennas but I will focus to improve signal. And I will try another 4G modem.

Thank you for support.
