Hello,

Is it possible to configure one LAN port as a WAN? Will the new WAN appear automatically to the Failover page?  I want to configure a second WAN and then configure the failover between both WANs.

I've looked on the Manual and there's is an example of how to do it with an old firmware (R_00.06.05.3 - RUT955 Use LAN port as WAN - Teltonika Networks Wiki (teltonika-networks.com)). However, it doesn't apply to me as I'm working with the RUT9_R_00.07.01.2.

I attach a document with the steps done to create a LAN as a WAN.

Best Regards

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

From document you've provided i can see 2 mistakes that you did.

1. In your interfaces WANB general settings you've chosen Static protocol, try changing it to DHCP.

2. In your interfaces WANB Physical settings you've attached two interfaces, leave only eth0.2.

Also here is updated Wiki article on how to setup LAN as WAN: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/LAN_as_WAN_RutOS

When you will create correctly second WAN it will automatically appear in Failover page.

Let me know if this helps you.

Kind regards,

Edvinas
