Hi, can you explain\confirm to me the use\difference of resolve file and the host file in DNS configuration (RUTX12)

I think "Additional servers file" in "advanced Settings" is list of forwarding DNS servers and line example would be

  "server=8.8.8.8"   is that correct?

is the resolve file to reverse dns lookup e.g. 1.2.3.4=myhost.mydomin.com

and is host file forward e.g. myhost.mydomain.com=1.2.3.4

thanks and regards

Fergus

Hello,

Additional servers file - uploads an additional DNS servers file. This file may contain lines like 'server=/domain/1.2.3.4' or 'server=1.2.3.4' for domain-specific or full upstream DNS servers.

You may be interested in DNS> General settings> DNS forwarding section. Here you can specify /domain/DNS server for specific list of DNS servers to forward requests to.

Regards.

Unfortunately this does not answer the original question. Please give us an example of "Additional servers file" with multiple lines. What is the correct format?
