Hi,

I have noticed that iOS devices (iPhone running iOS v15.4 - latest) cannot connect via native L2TP/IPSec VPN client to RUTX11 (configured as VPN server). The error displayed on the phone is always the same: "VPN server is not responding"

RUTX11 is currently running v07.01.4 (latest) but I can confirm the issue was also present in all previous v07.xx versions. It is important to note however that RUTX v06.x had no such VPN connection problem.

Please advise.

Hi Sergio,

Please ensure L2TP over IPsec configuration has been correctly setup in RUTX11. Instruction can be found via following link:

Besides, in IPsec-Proposal-DH group, select MODP1024, save the changes and test IPhone L2TP/IPsec VPN again.

Hi Sergio,

There was no VPN connection request received on RUTX11 per troubleshoot fie.

Since there are multi-wan enabled in your RUTX11,  please ensure you configure main WAN IP (public) in your Iphone VPN client correctly to send out VPN connection request to RUTX11.

Please also ensure user name and password and pre-shared key are matched from Iphone VPN client and RUTX11.
