RUT950

When I change the default router or hostname using the System Administration names arte changed after save but if I leave to any other menu and come back I can see only defauts.

The router is not yet in WAN and I wonder if it needs connection to your server to work or firmware update?

Actually it should not be the case.

What is the issue here?

Firmware version is RUT9XX_R_00.06.08.3

Hello,

I was unable to replicate your issue. What names does the Status -> System menu show after you change and save the settings?

Also, you should try to upgrade your firmware to at least the latest legacy version, which is RUT9XX_R_00.06.08.6. Firmware file can be downloaded from this link: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/wikibase/images/1/13/RUT9XX_R_00.06.08.6_WEBUI.bin

 Best regards,

Well, some new information now available.

1. I found a advice on the forum that you should use SSH to make it work. I edited the /etc/config/system file and succeeded to change the displayed hostname and router name. (actually the file where the names were was not /etc/config/dhcp as in the hint).

2. But after I connected the network those changes were gone and defaukts were in place.

3. I updated the firmware. Now I was able to change those values even through the local console.

It seems that this is issue with firmware version or there is some reason why you need to be online to make the change stay?
