Hello all,

I need a static IP for the 3G connection. I have ordered the service, however they claim that I shall add a spcific AT command like this: AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","staticip".

Where this one can be added? I'm running #rut240 and new WebUI.

Or this is only CLI?

Appreciate your feedback. Br, Alex

Hello,

This command must be entered via CLI. To do so, you can either download an SSH client, such as PuTTy, and login to the router using SSH or you can access router's WebUI, by going to System -> CLI. For username enter root, for password, use router's WebUI login password. The full command, which has to be entered, should look like this:

gsmctl -A 'AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","staticip"'

Best regards,

How to add that one to be always done at the modem connection after router being rebooted or shut off?

Hello,

Use your preferred text editor and add the command in this file - /etc/rc.local. rc.local is the place to add the scripts/commands to be executed at the end of the boot process.
