Hello,

Please refer to this wiki page for more details related to the settings of DDNS service on RUT240 device: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_Dynamic_DNS. Keep in mind that, in order for the DDNS to work, a public IP is mandatory.

Also, check the DDNS configuration example provided in the link below or more specific explanations:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX_Noip.com_DDNS_configuration

Best regards,

Žygimantas

( I use the ip from mob1s1a1 because the router is used only with a 4g sim)

Hello,

I was able to successfully configure the dyn.com DDNS service following the instructions in the links. Please clarify your issue: are you not able to access the device with the configured hostname, or is the issue related to RMS service?

Best regards,

Did you enable remote remote HTTP(S) access? It can be done by loging to the device's WebUI and navigating to System -> Administration -> Access control.

Hello,

Could you check a couple commands in ssh and post their output:

  • Connect to SSH client, for example PuTTy, login with username root and your router's WebUI password, enter command logread -f, keep it running. Configure DDNS instance, save it, wait some time, see if any messages show up in the PuTTy window.
  • In the same way, instead of logread -f, enter a different command: tcpdump -i wwan0 port 443, it should show if any traffic is being sent between the router and DDNS service provider.

You might need to install tcpdump package. To do so in your ssh client enter these commands:

  • opkg update;
  • opkg install tcpdump.

Also, in DDNS settings, instead of mob1s1a1 in the Network option, select lan.

Have you tried to connect from the device not directly connected to the router?

Best regards,

Žygimantas

I used the webCLI integrated on the RMS.
but
- there is no way to install the opkg update;
- there is no traffic from/to  ddns.
