Hello,

can you please tell me what credentials should I use during login to the RutOs application on my android device?
Should it be the same that I use when I login to Web Interface http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/index#/status/overview ? Or should it be different?
The Mobile application tells me that I use invalid credentials, but I'm pretty sure it's correct.
I'm trying to login to RUT950 with the latest firmware.
Thank you.

Hello,

The mobile phone must be connected to the WiFi of the router which you want to access, and the same credentials should be used to connect to RutOS mobile application (username: admin, password: your router password). Check if the app is up to date as well (current version 1.0.4). There were reports about specific mobile devices having connection issues, this should be fixed with the upcoming updates. Also, some people found a temporary solution by using a shorter password.

Best Regards,

Tomas M.

I am having the exact same problem. i got 2 routers RUT360 & RUT240 and i cannot login to any of them. I am trying to connect from wan side and from zerotier ip. I can connect via web from both but cannot from app by using the "custom ip" option. the password i only 8 character long. Forgot to mention routers are on the latest firmware.

Hello,

In my case the problem was solved very easy.

I was trying to connect from android device and my name was substituted automatically.

Android added additional invisible space at the end of my user name.

I deleted it and was able to login.

Update. After the latest app update, i am now able to connect. Apparently the app requires https to be enabled also, something that is made clear in the latest update too.

I am having problems connection to my RUTX50 from iPhone 13 using RutOS V 1.4.1. I am able to connect to my RUT950 using the same app, so it must be something wrong with the RUTX50. Can you confirm if there is an issue with RUTX50?
