Hi,

Please share the screenshot of the error that you are getting on your RMS account while trying to add a device.
If you received that your device is already added to the RMS account, please use the below command in the CLI of the router.
1. Log in to your router's CLI (System->CLI) via WEBUI of the router.
2. Enter: username: root
           Password: <your router's admin password>
3. After successful login into the CLI, issue the below command:
uci set rms_connect_mqtt.rms_connect_mqtt.remove_from_system=1 && uci commit && /etc/init.d/rms_connect restart

Make sure you have enough credit(s) for the device monitoring in your RMS account.

Regards,
Raman

Hi Raman,

Thanks for the instructions.

Our engineer was on site to try this but was unsuccsessful. They are able to log into the CLI, but cannot execute the command given.  Please see his comments below:

"That command doesn’t work... appears to be more a series of commands?

The &&'s are causing an issue.

uci set rms_connect_mqtt.rms_connect_mqtt.remove_from_system=1   ...ok

uci commit  ...ok

/etc/init.d/rms_connect  ...file not found /etc/init.d/rms_connect  restart ...syntax error Restart is a button outside the command window. I didn’t press it and just exited router without saving changes."

Hi Milu,

For that case, you may need to contact your Sales Manager or distributor, who sold you this device. The sales manager can provide the proof of the ownership of the device and can create query to HQ engineer to remove the device from RMS.

Maybe one more time you can try to remove it through CLI.

  1. 1. Connect the router to the internet.
  2. 2. Go to CLI of the router, this time enter the commands one by one:
  • enter command: uci set rms_connect_mqtt.rms_connect_mqtt.remove_from_system=1
  • then enter command: uci commit
  • then enter : reload_config
