I am trying to remote access via RMS VPN to Node-Red via port 1880.

We do get a session created in Node-Red, but it timesout.

Do you know if this is possible.

I'm not what you mean, but our routers do not support NodeRED.

Is the RUT950 able to route MQTT packets via Port 1880?

Yes, just run a port forward if you have a Public IP. Though port 1880 is NodeRed webserver address. MQTT is usually 1883 by default.
