Overall, you should be able to receive signals just fine. However, keep in mind that the way you intend to install the antenna will restrict the area of reception and in certain instances reduce the ability to receive the best signal.
Also, before mounting the antenna, you can test this placement by connecting to the router's WebUI, navigating to Status -> Network -> Mobile and checking the changes in mobile signal indicators, then compare them by placing the antenna parallel to the ground to see, whether the results of this setup are satisfactory for you.
