Question

Hi,

I have got issues upgrading my RUT240 from Legacy (RUT2XX_R_00.01.14.5) to the current firmware (RUT2_R_00.07.02.4). After upgrading, the WebUI does not work anymore, the login screen stalls with "Loading" spinning.

Login via SSH works. In logread I see the following error message:

Reboot or Factory Reset does not help.
I have tried downgrading to Legacy and back up to the current FW (save settings unchecked). Same result.

Any ideas?

I am seeing the same issue on a RUT360.

mnf_info fails to provide a serial number

# mnf_info -s
0000000000

Do you have access to the physical router or its packaging? If you provided the serial in a personal message, we could arrange a remote for device recovery.

Hello,

I would recommend you try to reflash the FW fully using the bootloader menu and then try upgrading to RUTOS.

NOTE: the bootloader will only allow you to upload legacy firmware versions.

Thank you, managed to fix it myself.

in short:

look at /dev/mtd1 on another device, content is straight forward

compile kmod-mtd-rw with the SDK

mtd write the fixed config
