I have an RUT950 with firmware RUT9XX_R_00.06.07. It worked fine for 18 months when suddenly lost GSM and has inserted in Greenred and orange blinking alternatively every 500 ms cycle. After i tried to restore default settings and setting up again. The problem resists and at mobile settings has in red banner "Modem not detected"

I tried the following :

1. Firmware update to RUT9XX_R_00.07.02.4. As result verification failed. "This device's provisioning doesn't allow to be downgrade to firmware version older than...... !

2. Check & tried multiple sim card with no success

3. Reset from pin & Restore from Web UI

No success.

e.g. I have 50 pcs installed from RUT950 and it is the first with this issue.

Please give me info to solve it.

Thank you.

Hey!

Thank you for your query.

Could you please try to reinstall the device firmware via the bootloader menu?

Here are detailed step-by-step instructions on how to do it:

  • First of all, please set a static IP address on your network interface (e.g., 192.168.1.10);
  • Use private/incognito Web browser window with cleared/disabled cache;
  • Power on the device while holding the reset button. Flashing all 4 Ethernet LEDs indicates that the bootloader's webserver has started.
  • Access router via web browser http://192.168.1.1/index.html
  • Upload new router's firmware. It can be downloaded here:
     https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT950_Firmware_Downloads
  • Wait a few minutes. The router's LEDs should stop flashing. Only LED with LAN cable connected to that port should be active.
  • Access router via web browser http://192.168.1.1

Detailed instructions can be found here:
https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT9xx_Firmware_via_The_Bootloader_Menu

Note: if the modem would not recover after this, this could signal a more serious issue, potentially a hardware issue, and you should contact your supplier to return the device as a potentially faulty one.

Best regards,

Domas
