Hi,
I have an issue when I'm trying to connect OpenVPN Windows client to the server on RUT955. Both devices are in the same network, PC is connecting by ethernet and router in mobile way. I tried other VPNs like PPTP and L2TP and it works. Also when I ping router form PC and PC from router there is a connection. But there is a problem with OpenVPN.

I generated TLS files following:
https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/How_to_generate_TLS_certificates_(Windows)%3F
and prepared client and server configs according to:
https://mega.nz/file/72xQjL6D#bXcnQ7Zl8jNQ95wmp3DIlV0BFEXLas2_2pZDRYlkiNs

Files: put ca.crt client.crt and client.key are in "C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config" directory and coresponding ones are uploaded to the server.

Hello

Thank you for contacting Teltonika Crowd Support.

We have observed that your RUT955 has legacy firmware and recommend a firmware upgrade to the newest release.

The newest firmware for RUT955 is available on the following link:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_Firmware_Downloads

Try to setup your OpenVPN after successful firmware upgrade.

If the issue reoccur, kindly download and attach the troubleshoot file. To get the troubleshoot file, access router's WebUI and navigate to System -> Administration > Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there.

In your OpenVPN client configuration, the remote is 10.14.x.x which seems to be a private IP address. This should be the VPN Server's public IP address. Kindly advise if you put it like that for security reasons and confirm if you do have a public IP address.

Kind Regards

Wesley

Hello,
thank You for Your reply. According to my IP 10.14.x.x. Yes it is Public IP. May it looks weried because of it is SIM card IP.
Just after posting my question I tried static key OpenVPN connection and it works without any changes. After that I updated software, but for now didn't tried TLS again. I will check it in free time and get You know.

You had right that was private IP (10.14.x.x). But that was not the problem, I just worked in a big local network and tried to connect between 2 devices inside it. So treated private IP as public for ma smaller subnetwork.
