After performing FW upgrade from 06.08.5 to 06.09.2 we lost connections to our client devices connected over RS232/RS485 over IP. We upgraded eight RUT955-s and all are having the same issue. It affects both RS232 and RS485. The workaround for one RUT955 was to upgrade newer FW.07.02.6 . Connection was restored and working fine. But its not possible to upgrade the rest of seven RUT955 older version ***7V*** . We cant do the rollback to 06.08.5 either without loosing config. (routers are situated in remote locations)

Hello,

Could you to attach a troubleshoot file to your question from one of the devices? Please, replicate the issue, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration > Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there.

Files are private and visible only to Teltonika Moderators

Best regards,

The logs do not indicate issues.

You could try downgrading to RUT9XX_R_00.06.09.1 and to RUT9XX_R_00.06.09 without loosing the configuration.

Is the issue related to the RS232 connectivity only?

Are the client devices able to ping RUT955?

Would it be possible to reset at least one of the remote devices to the factory defaults and reconfigure it to check if that restores the connection?

Hello

I made some tests. Took brand new RUT955, 06.08.5 and 06.08.6 are working fine. Clean installed 06.09.2 and reconfigured is failing the same way, port will be opened but no communication with client device.

After downgrade from 06.09.2 ->06.09 or 06.09.1 will get TCP error 10061.  All had exactly the same config. It is affecting also the RS485. We do have one device over RS485 and connection was lost after FW upgrade.
