Hello,

i want to use the RUT955 or the TRB142 to connect it to an external GPS-receiver, which delivers NMEA sentences through the RS232 connection. These must be sent continuously every 5-10 seconds over ltg/4G to the NTRIP-Caster, and the RTCM-stream from the NTRIP-Caster back in the NTRIP-Client in the Router and through RS232 to the Antenna.

Is this use-case possible? Does it work?

Hello,

This is pretty much what the functionality of NTRIP client performs. You can read more about it here: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_RS232/RS485_(legacy_WebUI)#NTRIP_client.

However, it is currently only available in the legacy firmware versions, which by now receives only critical security and bug fixes. Otherwise, the feature is being reworked and is planned to be included in the current RUTOS with the 7.3 firmware revision, however, no release for the firmware is set yet.
