I like to do the full configuration of my RUT955 via SSH (UCI command). I have two questions about this:

- Is this possible?

- I like to "clone" my configuration from another modem. What is the best way to get the configuration from one modem (by SSH) and bring it to another? Since I want to autmotically configure more than one modem in the future, using backups is not a proper way for my use case.

Hey!

It is possible to do most of the router configuration via SSH using UCI commands.

More information about UCI commands is below:
https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/UCI_command_usage

The only way to "clone" the device is by downloading the backup file of it and uploading it to the other device. This functionality can be achieved via SSH. You may find more information about it below:
https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/troubleshooting/backup_restore

Please note that you can upload configuration backup files to your device if they were generated on an identical device using the same or an older firmware version (backup files created on devices with newer firmware cannot be uploaded to devices using an older firmware version).

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,
Domas

For configuration migration between the same device models with differing product codes scp can be used to transfer configuration files located in the router's /etc/config/ directory.
