Is there a way to block the login web front end in the WAN, continue to use the JSON RPC in the WAN.

Hello,

You could try changing remote WebUI access ports in System -> Administration -> Access control.

Then open HTTP(S) port in Network -> Firewall -> Traffic rules to accept input to the device set as destination zone.
