Trying to get a SIM card from Verizon Wireless for my new RUT955 K7V1Y0. When I submit the IMEI Verizon replies that it is cannot activate this "phone" as it is not GPS capable. I bought the RUT955 because it did have GPS. Any ideas for me?

Thank you.

Hello,

Teltonika router's GPS functionality comes from integrated LTE module. RUT955 Kxxxxx router uses "Quectel EC25-V" LTE module, which has GPS functionality. You can see confirmation of this in Quectel's official website:

https://www.quectel.com/product/ec25.htm

You can also confirm that yourself, by simply connecting GPS antenna to the router and enabling GPS functionality in "Services -> GPS -> Genaral" menu. After doing that you will be able to see device's current location in "Services -> GPS -> MAP" menu.

Note: you do not need SIM card to use GPS functionality.

So.... turns out that the RUT955 just became certified with Verizon in the last couple of days. Now their website shows it as being compatible with VerizonWireless. I have a SIM card on it's way.
