Hello,

Thank you for contacting Teltonika Networks Crowd Support.

RutOS is highly customized openWRT operating system by Teltonika Networks running on Teltonika network devices. This operating system gives the user a friendly interface which is easy to use. It provides more functionality compared to standard openWRT.

OpenWRT is a Linux operating system targeting embedded systems, it gives a fully writable filesystem with package management. It allows the user to fully customize the device through the packages to suit any application. This customization feature is the one that allows Teltonika to customize OpenWRT thus creating RUTOS operating system.

On where to implement or how to implement, Teltonika firmware allows customization with supported languages such as Busybox shell, Lua, C, C++ using the SDK package with build environment provided. With the OpenWRT you can customize it and implement on the embedded devices.

Kind regards,

Shadrack.
