I have a few RUT955's that have had the config-zeroing issue that causes blank serial/mac/hwinfo/etc. I have a script that I use to correct that information and unbrick the device, which writes to /dev/mtdblock1. The problem I have now is that between firmware versions RUT9_R_00.07.02.4 and RUT9_R_00.07.02.7, the mtd device has been set as locked, and dd returns:

dd: error writing '/dev/mtdblock1': Operation not permitted

I've tried using assorted `mtd unlock' commands to get it to unlock but can't seem to get it to work. Is there any way I can unlock it for writing to?
