Hi there.
Could you consider a more elegant way for an admin to force a temporary SIM Switch than the current option that involves (a) changing Default SIM, (b) turning off SIM switch rules and (c) having to toggle back and forth between Defaults if connection has re-switched back to SIM 1?
Furthermore, I also have to disable the SIM1 interface to force-prevent a switch back, and yet it does still occur (odd).
It would be great if you could click a button to SWITCH to the ‘other’ SIM (1 or 2) via a User Generated General Event, whilst maintaining the Default SIM & SIM Switching settings. This would allow the Switching / re-switching rules to persist, and there is no admin burden to remember to revert back to old settings once mobile connectivity addressed.
Alternatively, if you still have to change Default SIM setting to force a change, there needs to be a better way of handling the SIM Switching rules applied. It’s almost as if you need to switch the rules such that you the Default SIM switching rules are attached to “default” versus the SIM bay. Or as min, the “revert back” setting is truly disabled or switched over.
The first option would be a much simpler, more elegant, and more useful solution to temporarily switch the current in-use SIM to the other one.
Please LMK if this feature request can be considered. Thanks.
