I've upgraded many RUT240 routers modems, as per this post:

Can the mods please provide a tested, proven working method to upgrade the RUT360, and the RUTX11 modems, similar to the ones above? If I hadnt been able to upgrade the RUT240 modems, the last router firmware update would have stopped our routers working on SIM, and I dont want to be in the same position for our other routers.

The update procedure is the same for all devices, however, it should really be avoided unless you're experiencing any issues.

The modem updater is meant as a last-resort tool when troubleshooting the issues, thus the lack of information.
