Hello,

We have a RUT955 containing a program on the µSD card. This router is connected in DHCP to my network. But the DNS setting is not taken into account. Connected by ssh on the router I cannot resolve the name of my servers. So my program crashes.
The file resolv.conf keeps the local configuration.

File /etc/resolv.conf :
search lan
nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver ::
1

File /tmp/resolv.conf.d/resolv.conf.auto
# Interface NETGEAR_ATELIER
nameserver 192.168.1.4
search blabla.net

Firmware : RUT9_R_00.07.03.2

Regards,
Stephane

Hi,

Could you simply try to edit hosts from SSH:

  • vi /etc/hosts

Press 'i' to start editing text file.

Navigate with arrows on your keyboard.

Add IP address and hostname.

Press 'esc' and type ':wq' to write and quit (save the file).

You should be able to resolve the hostname to the IP address as in the file.

Kind Regards,

Andzej
