Hi,

Assuming the configuration is the same on both devices, then, the issue is likely the version of your RUT955. What is the product code of your RUT955?

The device must have appropriate certifications to be used within the Verizon network. Please, take a look at the product code of your device and the information here to see if your device can be used with Verizon.

Kind Regards,

S.No 1126263730 Batch No 119 RUT955W03660

So what I found so far is that if I use older firmware like RUT9_R_00.07.02.7 than modem has no issue with the Verizon wireless sim but as soon as I upgrade the latest firmware RUT9_R_00.07.03 or above the red light keeps flashing and the sim won't connect

Hi,

Are you updating with 'keep settings' option turned 'on'? If so, please try restoring the device to factory defaults to see if this resolves your issue.

Would it be possible for you to replicate the issue and generate two troubleshoot files from each firmware version? Troubleshoot file can be downloaded from System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot.

  1. On firmware version 7.02.7:
  • Insert your SIM card
  • Wait for the connection to be established
  • Generate troubleshoot file.
  1. On the latest firmware version 7.03.3:
  • Insert your SIM card
  • Wait for a few minutes for the device to try establishing a connection
  • Generate troubleshoot file.

Please attach the two generated troubleshoot files to your question by editing it or send them to me in a private message.

Kind Regards,

Andzej
