Is there a bug in email to SMS, it accepts only domain name ( not local ip , even the manual says so )

Would be way much easier to use router as Email to SMS Gateway

Hi,

Could you try to set the IP address via UCI?

Connect to the device via CLI/SSH and execute these commands (replace the IP address with your own):

  • uci set email_to_sms.pop3.host='192.168.1.1'
  • uci commit
  • /etc/init.d/email_to_sms restart

Please, let me know if this works for you.

It seems like a WebUI limitation. I will ask the development team. Thanks for bringing this up.

Kind Regards,

Andzej
