We are developing an energy management project in urban street lighting in Portugal.
We are currently using the TK-TRB245 unit, which is connected to intelligent electricity meters via an RS232 port and commands the on/off period of urban lighting via a digital output, this with monitoring and control from a 4G LTE connection with our company's dedicated server.
In terms of software development we have resources in our company and for Gateway solutions we are relying on Teltonika products. However, we were faced with a greater challenge, which has to do with the need to send commands from the TK-TRB245 unit to the different light points scattered throughout the public road.
As there are many points that we intend to control, 4G communication is not feasible and given the distance between units, a ZigBee connection may not be recommended. Therefore, we intend to find communication units that can be connected to the RS232 of the TK-TRB245, and that can establish power-line communication with other units.
Does Teltonika have a power-line communication partner? Can you help us in any way?
