I found that (even though the GUI accepts it) my ed25519 ssh key is not working for passwordless login to RUT240 running firmware RUT2_R_00.07.03.4. If I instead switch to my rsa key, it works fine. No problem using the ed25519 key on RUTX11.

Is this supported?

Hello,

It appears that ED25519 support is an option set before firmware compilation.

At least, comparing default configurations in SDK for RUT2 and RUTX devices, I found that ED25519 is enabled for RUTX11, while it is not set for RUT240.

If the feature is mandatory, I would suggest to compile your own firmware.

Best regards,

I'm not familiar with the process for compiling my own firmware, and would rather not go down that road. Is this a small change that can be adjusted for future firmware releases?

I will forward your request to the developers.

However, keep in mind, that usually requests from the forum have a rather low priority and their implementation can take a very long time, independent of their complexity.

Best regards,
