Hi,

I updated my RUTX11 to the latest firmware build yesterday because it was dropping signal randomly. Now after reboot, the modem is continually searching for service and not connecting. I've reached out to my carrier and they indicated that they don't see any issues on their end. I've tested all the various APN my card has access to, and tested with a separate SIM card and the results were the same. I'm on FW build version 7.03.4. Reviewing logs prior to the upgrade, I see events indicating mobile data and network operator connections, but no such events since the upgrade. I have also tested restoring to factory defaults and step by step upgrading, but no change, and factory defaults does not fix the issue. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello,

I would like you to attach a troubleshoot file to your question. Please, replicate the issue, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there. The logs in the file might provide more insight into the issue.

Best regards,

Thanks for looking. I've added the logs from the troubleshoot file, but it does not look like the system log contained anything past Tuesday, which seems odd, as the event logging is still continuing normally.

In regards to logging, maybe it is the router's time that is simply not synchronized.

I have forwarded the troubleshoot file to the development team to look into what might be causing this.

I the meantime, I suggest to stick to the last working firmware, which, I would assume, is 7.2.7.

Can you please share a link to that version, as I'm not seeing anything like that on the site. All the version releases appear to be 7.02.x.

Thanks!

RUTX_R_00.07.02.7 is the version I had in mind. Download it following this link.

Thanks! Downgrading versions appears to have worked, now I am able to connect. The signal strength is terrible, but I suspect that may be a network issue. Would love to see the issue with the current version resolved, but at least the modem is working now.

The issue will be looked at, as there appears to be other reports of a similar experiences related to T-Mobile.

Once there are updates, I will post them here.

The suggestion is to wait for 7.4 firmware release, which is nearing completion, and should be out either by the end of this week or the next one.

Best regards,
