Question

so i have just bought this as a starter for my partners house however, and i'm sure this is not right, i have tried to set this up by the letter and even other avenues to try and get this to work, so i switch this on and neither my phone or my macbook can even find the network at all, it just does'nt show up on the wifi list, i have also tried using the qr code to connect but saying constanly network not found? everything is in the right place and set up how it should, and restarted ect, you name it i've tried it, i think the box is faulty? it basically can not find the network to connect to in 1st place, sure this should show up when i network search? thankyou in advance, i'm sure its just broken but need second opinion

Your description does indicate a faulty unit. 

For a deeper look, I would like you to attach a troubleshoot file to your question. Please, replicate the issue, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there. The logs in the file might provide more insight into the issue.
