Hello, Unfortunately, my application cannot use credentials when sending commands to the modem via rs232 AT. I read here that it is not possible to disable access (root/pw). Is this still the case or is there a way? If not, unfortunately I can't use the trb142.

Hello,

I just wanted to clarify, do you want to completely disable the root user on TRB142? If yes, then I'm afraid you cannot disable it since it is there for security purposes. By default, there is one SSH user (root) which shares the same password as the default WebUI user named "admin".

root has the highest level of authority from which you cannot even modify its access rights nor disable it.

RS232 on modem mode can work directly without a username/password when it is in full control mode. Kindly refer here for more information.

Best regards,

Robert
