Hello, I own a rutx14 router firmware version RUTX_R_00.07.03

The modem firmware version EG12EAPAR01A09M4G_01.001.01.001

Found that there is no LTE Band 8, it is very critical for my area, in the technical description of the router RUTX14, product code RUTX1400XXXX and LTE modem Quectel EG12-EA Band 8 is supported, how do I solve this problem?

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this up.

To check, whether this is not some limitation from WebUI, if you know that Band 8 is available in your area, please try the setting the band via CLI/SSH with the following command:

  • gsmctl -A 'AT+QCFG="band",0,80,1'

According to the modem manual, this will set LTE Band to B8 immediately after the command is executed.

I will consult the developers about the band support.

Best regards,

Updated to RUTX_R_00.07.04.1 and band 8 is also missing here

I updated my rutx14 to 7.04.1 Band 8 missing. Are you sure the update fixes this problem?

Due to urgency to resolve an issue related to Software flow offloading and mobile data limit setting, inclusion of band 8 as well as numerous other updates and improvements were pushed to 7.04.2.

Apologies for the delay.

Best regards,
