On my synology (192.168.1.10) I created a website test.net . For tests on a local network. How and where do I need to register the site name to the IP of the device where it is deployed. In order for my site to open by name from any device on the local network? In the router RUTX14

Hi,

You can edit the host file on your RUTX14.

Connect to your RUTX14 via CLI/SSH and execute:

  • vi /etc/hosts

You will open a text editor. Press 'i' to start editing. Add the IP address and hostname of your synology server at the bottom:

  • 192.168.1.10 test.net

Save the script by pressing  'esc' button, typing ':wq' and pressing 'enter'. Your RUTX should now resolve the 'test.net' to 192.168.1.10.

Kind Regards,

Andzej
