Hello,

I tried to setup an OpenVPN for 2 days straight but by the love of god could not get it to work.

I want to configure the RUT950, which is connected to WAN (in this case a Wifi where it has a static IP 10.0.10.126), so that it enables a Bridged VPN to the computer connected on LAN and all computers in the same ip range.

The network configuration is:

WAN: 10.0.10.0 255.255.0.0
RUT950: 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0

Here is what I did so far:

1) Generate certificates for the server using this tutorial (Only steps 1-6): https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-an-openvpn-server-on-ubuntu-16-04#step-4-build-the-certificate-authority
2) Generated a OpenVPN configuration on the RUT950

3) Configured the client OpenVPN connection

4) Under Network -> Firewall -> Zone Forwarding set Default forwarding action to accept for vpn:openvpn

I am fairly new to netowrking so if i forgot to tell you something please tell me and i will upload it.

Thank you for your help.

Kind Regards

Georg

Hi,

Could you draw a simple sketch of your network topology with IPs, gateways, subnets and devices.

Some examples are here: https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/RUT950_Configuration_Examples#VPN

Thank you for your quick response!

This is the netowrk-connection I desire.

I managed to set up an OVPN server on the embedded the way I need the connection but I want to use the RUT950 since I bought it because of his OpenVPN capabilities.

Best regards

Georg

Then Static key configuration should be enough for your case, check chapter "2. Static key" in attached manual before.

Thank you I will try that.
