Hi there,

We are having a problem with RUT240 (fw RUT_2_R_00.07.03.3) failing to conncet to SIM broadband provider.

We use the RUT240 to give remote connectivity during the commissioning of machines we provide around the world.

The SIM we use is normally local one and we configure the RUT240 so that it can work simply inserting a local PIN-free SIM. Local SIM does not required a specific configuration of the RUT240 such as a specific APN.

From time to time we use a SIM from the company mobile phone of one of our techincians who is onsite.

The company SIM need a specific APN and then we configure that APN on the RUT240. The RUT240 operate properly here in Italy but not when the RUT240 si abroad.

The only way we have to throubleshoot this problem is to look at the RTU240 leds I did not find any precise information of the led behaviour.

Is there a way of having a real-time log from the RUT240 so that we can get the reason of the issue.

Any other suggestions?

Regards

Ale

Hello,

To start, please update your device to the latest RUT_2_R_00.07.04.1 firmware version, with Keep settings option disabled.

If the issue persists afterwards, would like you to attach a troubleshoot file to your question. Please, replicate the issue, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there. The logs in the file might provide more insight into the issue.
