Hello,

I have a computer with no wifi access. I want to use my RUTX50 as a wifi receiver and then share this internet connexion with the computer via LAN. How can I can configure it to do that?

Hello,

We have a configuration example that should work perfectly for you here.

When setting up the router with this configuration it will basically act as a WiFi receiver, and then you can connect it to the PC using an Ethernet cable. The PC will receive an IP address from your router and will be accessible across the entire LAN network.

Let us know if any more information is needed!

What if the (public)wifi signal I receive requires acceptance of "general terms of use" or a login and password. Is it still possible to bridge this wifi-signal to the clients connected to my RUTX50?

Thanks for your insights.

Hello,

This feature is planned to be implemented in (near) future RutOS releases. It is not possible at the moment.
