Hi,

In the admin GUI for RUTX50 (SMS gateway menu), the following information message appears "Be careful not send SMS messages to yourself"

For my understanding, why sending a SMS message to my own number would be an issue ?.

Btw, I use that method to check connection is ok, without any problem so far.

Hello,

There is nothing inherently wrong with sending SMS back to yourself. There are actually, where this is used.

The aforementioned notification is only informational and it is displayed in Services -> Mobile utilities -> SMS gateway -> Auto reply.  

Essentially, what this can result in, is that the router will begin replying to messages sent to itself, creating an infinite loop. To avoid this, informational message is inserted.
