Dear Teltonika Support,

we have several RUT240 configured to access a VPN (PPTP). Now, with incoming EOL, we are migrating to RUT241.

As, of course, we are unable to upload the RUT240 configuration on the new RUT241s due to different hardware and firmware revisions, we manually set all the parameters we need. However, it's impossible to connect to our VPN.
We even tried to restore factory settings and set our PPTP VPN settings only, without success.

Do you have anny suggestion?

Thanks in advance,

MRB

Hello,

I will need additional details.

First, what is the device, operating as a PPTP server?

Would it be possible to receive server configuration details in a private message?

Next, I would like you to login to the router via SSH and execute the following commands:

  • echo "debug" >> /etc/ppp/options.pptp
  • /etc/init.d/network restart

This will enable additional PPTP logs for deeper inspection. Then try to establish PPTP connection, wait a few minutes for the logs to populate, then generate a troubleshoot file and attach it by editing your question. To generate the file, access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there.

A troubleshoot file with a working configuration from RUT240 would be useful as well.

Best regards,
