Hi all,

We have a TRB140 and we want to use it for sending sms's but don't require internet access.  Can we disable the internet access but still enable sms?

Is there a fundamental way to do it or just set the firewall rules to drop all traffic?

thanks

jc

Hello,

The easiest way would be to simply disable the mob1s1a1 interface in the Network → Interfaces → General menu. This will disable the network connection, but will still allow you to send SMS.

An alternative, as you already mentioned, would be to create a firewall rule, but the internet connection will still technically be present.

Best regards,

Thanks for the reply.  I assumed disabling that interface would disable all access to the SIM.

Just what I want, many thanks!
