Hallo all!

I've been reading a lot before writing  this post, as nothing helped me.

I have a Teltonika Router RUT955  internet connected by a Vodafone sim card.

My internet IP is shared dynamic, therefore, i've subscribed  for a

VPN service with ExpressVPN in order to get the access remotely.

             Laptop <--> Internet <---> Router[LAN]

Below you can see the confiuration of my OpenVPN client:

OpenVPN clinet configuration

My Router seems to connect successfully to the ExpressVPN server, that is visible on the

tab "Remote Host/ IPaddress" :

 Status

Now, I can see the tun iterface on my router.

I've done the same configuration of the VPN on Ubuntu laptop in

order to make a link to the same ExpressVPN server as a client.

Even in this case a  i see the successfull estabilishment the link.

In my laptop, i can see the Tun interface with 2 IPs.

After that, I expected to use, on my laptop  the remote address

visibile  on its Tun interface with SSH or brower , but nothing!

I've already enabled the permissions in the Firewall and System sections

of my router, accordingly.

Where I'm  wrong?

Hello,

As I understand RUT955 is connected to VPN server, and to that VPN server you have connected your PC, and from PC side you want to access RUT955? If so - can you ping from your PC routers (RUT955) OpenVPN IP? IS PC and RUT955 using differnte LAN IP subnets?

Also I recommend using Teltonika RMS (remote management system) to gain remote access to RUT955 without use of public IP address. More information: https://teltonika.lt/product/rms/

Try pinging routers (RUT955) OpenVPN IP address from your PC and see if you can reach RUT955 that way.

If it will not work, try checking OpenVPN server side, maybe there is something which is blocking access? For example a firewall?

Also, check routers firewall settings Network -> Firewall -> Zone forwarding and make sure that LAN interface is added to VPN zone, it should look something like this:

Also, try enabling remote HTTP and SSH access in System -> Administration -> Access Control section.

No, nothing to do. I've tried to ping address 10.86.0.106,  that is  the address visibile in my picture.

The fact that i see on my PC differente address in the tun section (with ifconfig) is suspicious.

Already done. Router is configured according to wiki tutorials.

My suspicious is that expressVPN don't allow this game with a shared IP
