Hi,

I have a RUT240 w OPENVPN configured. I also have a mumble server behind the LAN port running in port 64738.

The OpenVPN connection works fine. I can connect, client IP 10.0.0.6 whereas the vpn server gets 10.0.0.1

The router lan port is 192.168.1.1 and the server is assigned static ip 192.168.1.104

If I configure a port forward saying;

TCP, UDP
From any hostin wan
To any router IP at port 64738
Forward to IP 192.168.1.104, port 64738 in lan

I can connect after opening the vpn to the server port with a mumble client without any problem.

If I configure a port forward saying;

TCP, UDP
From any hostin vpn
To any router IP at port 64738
Forward to IP 192.168.1.104, port 64738 in lan

I can not connect to the server althought the OpenVPN connection gets established.

What is wrong here?

My firmware for the RUT240:

Firmware build date 2019-07-12, 10:13:40
Kernel version 3.18.44
Bootloader version 3.1.0

Hello, tatzka

There is many variables why it's not working correctly. Can You send me Troubleshoot file to PM?

Troubleshoot file can be downloaded via WebUI -> System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot.

Best way to find root cause issue would be to use some form of packet capture software to determine where the packets are getting lost:

either with the TCPDUMP function (can be initiated via CLI or SSH with this command: tcpdump -i interface_name) or a Wireshark-like tool on other machines.
