Yesterday, all of a sudden, none of our RUT950 routers could connect to RMS. Everything else worked. We tried everything except factory reset. The serial of one of the routers is 1102322225. Can anyone tell me what to do except factory reset because the routers are on a tour (right now on a trailer)?

I'm getting something vaguely similar.

I have 11 RUT950 devices, 9 of them show on-line in RMS, but I cannot connect to any that I've tried. I've tried 4 devices in three different locations. A fifth device is showing off-line, but see below.

1101102804 - Generator #1, Cell tower #1 or #2, Location #1, firmware RUT9XX_R_00.06.03.2
1001027805 - Generator #2, Cell tower #1, Location #2, firmware RUT9XX_R_00.06.03.2
1101102816 - Town power, Cell tower #1, Location #2, firmware RUT9XX_R_00.06.02.2
08562798 - showing offline, Town power, Cell tower #1, Location #2, firmware RUT9XX_R_00.06.02.2
1000747588 - Generator #3, Cell tower #3, location is 900km from others above, firmware RUT9XX_R_00.05.03.3

I did notice that all 11 devices say "Information Updated: more than 1 hour ago" - normally this is "less than 5 minutes" unless there's something plausible such as generator not running.

I have rung the two sites at Location #2, and they say they're getting the usual connectivity, and logged onto the SDWAN corresponding to 1101102816/08562798 which tells me

  1. that 1101102816 is transmitting data,
  2. that 08562798 - showing offline in RMS, is also transmitting data.

so it's a problem that's specific to RMS. Any news?

Hello junet_matlin and Kiwi Nick

Is it possible to provide troubleshoot files for at least one of your routers? If it is possible, please send them to me via PM.

I would also suggest you to try SMS commands to check status of the router and services, specifically one to check monitoring status.

You can find more information about SMS commands here: https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/RUT950_SMS_Utilities#Monitoring_status

Hi, update Mon 09:20 UTC

The RMS page is now behaving normally (apart from 08562798 which is "off-line but carrying traffic"). I'm not on-site (and haven't yet carried out my cunning plan), so it's a little problematic getting troubleshooting files.

At the risk of hijacking the thread (the original RMS problem is no longer), I will see if I can turn on troubleshooting logging in 08562798, then provide logs whenever I see it "off-line but carrying traffic", as it's happened a couple of times before.

Cunning Plan: to put old laptops with Team Viewer in at various points in the network, including directly attached to certain Teltonika devices including 08562798. I plan to do that when I visit site next 2 weeks. That will then serve as an alternative to RMS, provided that the 4G signal hasn't totally clapped it.

Everything works normal again since a couple of days back. I don't know if it had something to do with the new RMS app that was released last week.
