Hello Community!

First: Sorry for my not native English.

we would like to use a pfSense as OpenVPN server and connect 4 locations with a RUT955.

the network behind the pfSense has the IP 192.168.0.0/24 all locations behind the RUT955 have 192.168.25.0/24

We would now have used for location 1 10.1.1.0/24, for location 2 10.1.2.0/24, for location 3, 10.1.3.0/24 and 10.1.4.0/24 for location 4.

The VPN connection to pfSense is established and the RUT955 location 1 gets the IP 10.1.1.254.

at RUT955 is still as userdefined script "iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i tun_c_pfSense -d 10.1.1.0/24 -j NETMAP --to 192.168.25.0/24" configured,

but it doesn't work. we can ping the 10.1.1.254 and also a traceroute to the 10.1.1.10 shows as first hop the 10.1.1.254 but nothing comes back from 10.1.1.10.

Maybe someone has an idea or can provide some configuration help?

Thanks in advance.

Andi

Hello Andi,

Could you draw the network topology that you’re trying to implement as right now it’s not fully clear what IP addresses are assigned to the devices as in one place it’s mentioned that all RUT955 use 192.168.25.0/24 but then another range of IP addresses is mentioned.

After having full picture of your topology I’ll be able to provide the help regarding configuration/routing.
