Hello,

I have been searching for a guide to easily configure an OpenVPN connection with the help of an OpenVPN Access Server issued "client.ovpn"-file. This would be much more efficent than configure every setting manually. Is this possible?

I will try a RUT850 to connect to my OpenVPN Server. (a Windows Client using the .ovpn config file successfully works.)

Is there a chance to get a firmware soon, where I can upload an ovpn-file to RUT850, instead of configuring each parameter?

I am thinking about using Teltonika for some ICS applications. I have previously looked into OpenWRT and there is a Luci GUI front end where you can import the entire client.ovpn file and simply check a box to enable/start the connection which works great after adjusting one setting on the firewall to allow LAN unsolicited traffic to be routed to the OpenVPN server.

This feature was added in FW version: RUT9XX_R_00.06.05.1 (https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_Firmware_Downloads) if you have older version, please update to the latest available RUT9 firmware. Firmware can be found in the same link above.

I'm running firmware version RUT9XX_R_00.06.06.1 and have to option to upload an ovpn file but looks like this option does nothing. File is uploaded but looking at the configuration page it just says "Not available at TUN/TAP, Protcol and Port.

Is my file maybe in the wrong format? Is there perhaps a template on how this file should look like? I just download the file from my OpenVPNacces server and uploaded it to my RUT950.

Also, if you will still have this issue, please download troubleshoot file (System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot) and PM it to me when issue persist.

When I upload my .ovpn file to my teltonika with firmware version RUT2XX_R_00.01.12.3, I am not able to connect to my VPN and I get the following in my config - can you help me resolve this?

I have the same problem like other people here. I have a RUT955 which is running on the RUT9XX_R_00.06.07.5

I can import a OpenVPN client.ovpn file, but afterwords there is no connection. How can I fix that problem?

Answering myself, OpenVPN.ovpn config file upload worked with no issue for me.
